Dr. Elizabeth Herness Peters received her PhD in molecular biology from the University of Toledo Medical Center Health Science Campus in 2002. She has authored several peer-reviewed papers on the topic of the molecular basis of cancer as well as in the utility of genomic technologies for effective detection and diagnosis of disease. As CEO of Astilbe Group LLC, Dr. Peters provides business development consultation to a wide range of privately and publicly funded organizations. She currently provides management consultation to a number of privately funded organizations pursuing Federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) Grants. With more than 14 years of experience in capturing Federal business opportunities, Dr. Peters has helped her clients win more than $45 million in Federal dollars.
Dr. Viktoria Greanya received her PhD in condensed matter physics from Michigan State University in 2001. As CEO of Morpho Sciences, LLC, Dr. Greanya has more than a decade of experience with the federal government leading discovery and investment in innovative research and development. As former Chief of Basic Research in the Chemical and Biological Technologies Department at the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), she represented DTRA on the White House National Science and Technology Council’s Fast-Track Action Committee on Optics and Photonics (FTAC-OP) in 2014. As a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), she led a wide range of innovative S&T programs including nanotherapeutics, bioinspired photonics, and advanced nanostructured materials and devices for high performance electronics, photonics, power, and energy. Dr. Greanya is the author of Bioinspired Photonics: Optical Structures and Systems Inspired by Nature.
Dorette Nysewander, EdD
Dr. Dorette Nysewander received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Health Care Education from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. As CEO of D Group Consulting Services, Inc., Dr. Nysewander provides leadership facilitation and consultation services, innovative curriculum design and development and organizational health, wellness and behavior change initiatives. Through public-private partnerships she challenges accomplished workforce teams, creates standard operating procedures, and develops/implements health and wellness programs worldwide. As a researcher, writer and professor she develops forward thinking curricula for academia and business, master’s accreditation standards and links education to small business results. As an executive management leader, Dr. Nysewander has developed and implemented community councils, standardized strategic logistics for over 150 sites simultaneously and organized hundreds of volunteers with proven results for business and public commerce.
Ms. Kimberly Wilson holds a B.A. in Political Science and Urban Studies from Rutgers College & The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, and attended the Career Discovery Program at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. As CEO of Accel Solutions, LLC, she provides government and commercial clients with a full range of human resources, procurement, IT, and administrative services. Ms. Wilson specializes in developing and implementing recruitment strategies for time sensitive engagements involving health IT policy, standards, and patient-centered outcomes.
Ms. Shannon Howell received her MS in Genetic Epidemiology from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2005. As CEO of RSH Analytics, Ms. Howell provides just-in-time statistical support for organizations that are developing their capabilities for data management and data analysis to drive business decisions.
Ms. Kilmeny Chernys holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University. Ms. Chernys brings with her over 17 years of experience in the non-profit sector, mentoring and motivating an entirely volunteer workforce to achieve organizational goals. She has authored and implemented curricula for organizational development addressing leadership development, community engagement, and procedural methodology. Through Ms. Chernys’ work in public and private sectors she has developed successful strategies for organizational and community development in diverse populations.
